Secondment of an experienced transport planner to support the development and evaluation of multimodal proposals to improve cross-river connectivity in East London and support regeneration and new housing in Thamesmead.

SCOPE OF SERVICE

  • Formulation of project objectives and identification
    of options, including public transport alignments
    and service patterns, pedestrian and cycling
    infrastructure options, conceptual design of highway
    infrastructure alignments, road user charging
    options, and production of outline cost estimates.
  • Structured option assessment framework using
    multi-criteria analysis
  • Specification, analysis and reporting of multi-modal
    transport modelling
  • Business case preparation

OUTCOMES

  • Genuinely multi-modal option assessment framework
    illustrating economic, environmental, social and health
    impacts.
  • Use of various scales of connectivity mapping to
    communicate the transformative impacts of public
    transport schemes to key stakeholders and the public.
  • Robust transport modelling framework, supplemented
    by scenario tests and secondary evidence to support
    conclusions in areas of uncertainty.

Sara is a skilled mobility planner with a diverse background in transport planning, architecture, civil engineering, and spatial data science. She has been working with Wedderburn Transport Planning since 2019, where she blends different perspectives into her work. Sara has worked on significant projects throughout Europe and Asia, showcasing her proficiency in computational and quantitative analysis within the context of masterplanning and policy making projects.

In her work, Sara strives to explore unconventional approaches, aiming to find innovative solutions. She develops bespoke analytical tools tailored to unravel the nuances of walking and its implications for retail and mixed-use environments, providing custom analyses that address questions otherwise difficult to answer.
